Regionalization Update for the 2026-27 Season
To All South Conference Minor Hockey Associations,
Hockey Nova Scotia's Minor Council (HNSMC) is pleased to update all Minor Hockey Associations (MHAs) that, following a successful pilot in the 2025-26 season, the regionalization initiative will be fully implemented for the 2026-27 season in the South Conference.
HNSMC reviewed the survey that was distributed this past season to all MHAs and has made the decision to expand the initiative to include all AA and A divisions, which will play in the Central Minor Hockey League for the 2026-27 season. For all B and C teams in the Western and Nova regions, these teams will play in the Annapolis Valley Minor Hockey League (AVMHL) for the 2026-27 season.
As with the pilot, the goal here is to ensure all players are provided with a high-quality hockey experience, with an emphasis on competitive balance and player development.
We would like to thank everyone for their support this past season and for their direction moving forward. If you have any questions, please contact your Regional Director.
Yours in Hockey,
Jimmy Mosher
South Conference Coordinator, Minor Council
